My kid is 3 years old.
He attends a half-day pre-nursery school.
He does nothing other than playing.
He enjoys everyday... except...
the day before yesterday, he was so excited to find a permanent marker from my pencil pouch and started to doodle everywhere and finally on the LCD TV! I was so fed up when i spot it from work. The words came to my mind again: "Spare the rod, spoil the child." (He was really pampered by my in-law) so i fetched a cloth hanger and started to cane on his butt. A sudden cry after the first stroke, scream after the second stroke, a glare at rage followed by the third stroke ... end up the word of "Sorry" still been spared. I totally losed in the battle ending up with a turning away from him.
yesterday, when he woke up, i tried to talk to him in a calm and pieceful manner. Eventually he was so reluctant to squeeze out the word of "Sorry, daddy!"
today, he still enjoys his life, jumping, hopping, singing and talking endlessly.
I like the topic of child/kid.
One good thing for my kid is that there is plenty of outdoor activities for them, such as playing in the park, visiting zoo, farm and factories etc.
Mine plays soccer, basketball and swimming for his sports. For music, he plays piano and trumpet. He also play chess. He plays all the activities for fun. He can give up any activity whenever he wants to. But the only thing he wanted to give up is to go to school. Maybe life is too sweet for him in Australia.
