That's why lots of British, Chinese,Indian Immigrants rushing into the offices, while some local Australian had to be driven to do labor works.
In my office, where the human resource distribution is of 40% British, 40% Local and 20% Asian approximately, most of us work hard from around 8:30 to 18:00 (7.5 compulsory working hours, plus non-conpensation overworking) and keep relatively high rate. The revenues and profits of the company significantly reflect our working rate and most of staff feel proud of that.
I always wonder what happened to the local's working attitude, ---they usually wear in ties and suits like white collar in their high (or middle) school, but eventually "prefering" labor work (high-paid) after becoming the adults. So it is in doubt if they really prefer labor work or they had to do that.
Considering ourselves, most of us never wear in suits and ties before 20, but now we are really after "white collar" positions in AU! That's the difference between local and immigrants (even from British), and if you figure it out, you would probably find out something.... |
