The man suspected of Monday's triple shooting in central Melbourne, Christopher Wayne Hudson, has handed himself in to Victoria Police.
A police spokeswoman confirmed about 5pm that Hudson had surrendered to police in Wallan, north of Melbourne.
Hudson is in the custody of homicide detectives who travelled from Melbourne immediately upon his surrender. They are currently on their way to Melbourne.
Hudson is believed to have handed himself in as a result of negotiations between 'a solicitor' and the homicide squad.
The arrest occurred without incident, Hudson having walked into Wallan police station at around 4.30pm.
Detective Inspector Stephen Clark said Hudson had been charged with one count of murder.
Hudson, a member of the Hells Angels motorbike gang, is accused of shooting dead Melbourne lawyer Brendan Keilar in the CBD on Monday as he went to the aid of a woman being dragged from a taxi by her hair.
Hudson allegedly opened fire, shooting Mr Keilar, 43, and another Dutch backpacker Paul de Waard, both of whom rushed to Kara Douglas' aid.
