Neptune Server
Posted By: Luke On: 13 Dec 2006 10:15 PM
Details 19/12/2006 14:37AEST
The plesk rebuild is progressing well, all users have been added as well as DNS entries with IIS settings now being processed. Some users may be able to view their websites now or shortly, but whilst the rebuild is being completed, the Plesk contol panel has been disabled.

Also, FTP and email access may not fuction correctly until after the IIS settings have been fully imported and the mailbox permissions and file permissions double checked.

We estimate the process should be completed sometime tomorrow or early Thursday morning. We thank you for your patience in this matter.
The U.S. Datacenter has finally finished replacing hardware and the server is now accessible to us by remote access. The server has had an extensive amount of hardware replaced including the harddrives, internal cabling, sata & raid controllers as well as having the chasis replaced to ensure that the server continues to remain online now that the hardware that was causing the system to hang has been replaced. Our technicians are currently working to have the server and all services associated with it back online as soon as possible, as there is quite alot associated with rebuilding the plesk control panel this may take some time to fully complete and we will post nofication of completion as soon as we can confirm that the control panel interface & associated websites are accessible to clients.

The Neptune server is offline. It appears that the drive replacement has not corrected the issue. We are currently in contact with the datacentre to find the issue but at this stage their is not estimated time of getting it back online. You may notice that it drops in and out, this is because it seems to be restarting itself after a period of time. We are doing our best effort to correct this and get it back up and running smoothly.
Datacenter technicians have completed a Rebuild of the raid array after replacing the effected hard drive and raid controller which did not fix the issue. They now believe this is a Windows OS fault and are repairing the Windows installation.
Upon further investigation, we have noticed a drive failure, causing the system to perform a reboot. The data center is now replacing the faulty drive, we expect to have this server functional within the next 24 hours.

The server failed upon reboot. Through a series of diagnostic checks, our DataCentre eliminated the possibility of hardware fault.

As of approx 4:00am AEST, our DataCentre began a Windows Repair.

Once the repair is completed, the server will be back online and operating as per normal.

We expect this to be completed later this afternoon.
We apologise for this inconvience. |
