City of Perth Symphony in the City has become an essential part of summer in Perth. Over the last six years, thousands of people have been thrilled by performances of great symphonic music by WASO and the WASO Chorus. We continue the tradition in 2013 with another exciting free outdoor concert at Langley Park.
This spectacular event will feature highlights from the 2014 season, as well as music from great film scores and audience favourites, including Tchaikovsky’s explosive 1812 Overture. Bring a picnic and experience the power of WASO under the stars in our beautiful city.
PRE-CONCERT ENTERTAINMENT & ACTIVITIES
Jeremy Thomson Quartet: 5.45pm - 6.30pm on stage
Children’s face painting: 5.00pm - 7.00pm at rear of audience
Balloon artist: 5.00pm - 7.00pm at rear of audience
This concert is hosted by Geoff Hutchison from 720 ABC Perth.
The concert will conclude at approximately 9.30pm.
This is a smoke-free event.
Tickets are not required for Symphony in the City at Langley Park. Complimentary tickets are required for the free regional screenings (details below).
