Please see below for requirements for the position of Machinist, thanks.


=======================================================
The successful candidates will be running brand new state of the art CNC machines in our fully equipped workshop which has gone through extensive modernisation.

This position may not suit individuals who are used to a mass production environment.

The principle accountabilities are:



-  Superior and proven CNC programming capability

-  Operation and setting of CNC machines

-  First Level inspection

-  Tool selection

-  Determination of machining sequence and approach

-  Deliver all activities consistent with Peak’s HSE expectations

-  Follow the principles of Peak’s Integrated Management System

-  Manufacture of production and prototype components

-  Achieving targets in respect of output and quality

-  Provide training and mentoring to other personnel as required



Essential Criteria:



- Extensive experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably with Fanuc control system

-  Okuma, Doosan Puma experience highly regarded

-  Experience in off-line programming software (FeatureCAM)

-  Capable of reading programs in ISO (G-Code)

-  Excellent mechanical aptitude

-  Capable of reading and understanding comprehensive engineering drawings

-  Experience with small and one-off batch runs, varying run-times and a large product portfolio

-  High level inspection skills using measuring equipment

-  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-  Good computer skills

-  Professional attitude and proven work ethic

-  Self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision
