IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CLIENTS LODGING EMPLOYER NOMINATION
SCHEME (ENS) & REGIONAL SPONSORED MIGRATION SCHEME (RSMS)
APPLICATIONS
The Department is experiencing a significant increase in ENS and RSMS applications. This increase is
expected to continue until 1 July 2012.
While PESE processing centres are seeking to manage this caseload, it is anticipated that the numbers
of applications will result in processing delays.
IT WOULD THEREFORE BE APPRECIATED IF YOU COULD TAKE NOTE OF THE
FOLLOWING:
Likely delays in June 2012 in the recording, and acknowledgement, of applications.
If acknowledgement of an application before 1 July 2012 is important to you, you should lodge as
soon as possible.
The use of registered post or a courier for application delivery will allow tracking of articles sent
to the Department.
Applications sent by mail, courier or delivered in person are date stamped on the day they are
received. Provided the application is valid this will be the effective date of lodgement.
If you seek to lodge an application at a DIAC counter late in June you may experience lengthy
waiting times. Counters close at 4pm sharp.
We encourage complete applications, it is particularly important that the application is valid. In
particular please ensure payment is correct, refer http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/990i/how-topay.
htm. Applications without the required fee will be deemed invalid. The application cannot be
backdated if future payment is made.
If lodging an application where a substantive visa is about to expire, please contact a manager in
the relevant processing centre.
The Processing Centre mailboxes auto responses have been updated to include this message, in
response to application receipt status requests made during June 2012. |
