前段时间因为在“关于CHILDCAER非常详细的介绍”的帖子中提到愿意将自己的成功申请资料与大家分享，所以有不少TZ向我咨询，所以特开新贴上传相关资料，希望能帮到大家。

1．        What experience have you had with children, and what do you feel your strengths are?
2．        What interests you about working with your children?
3．        Tell us about your experience with understanding or programming for the development needs of children?
4．        Please tell us about any experience you have had working with children with additional needs.
5．        What issues do you consider when setting up an environment and keeping children safe? How do these differ from 0-3’s to 3-5’s?
6．        What do you do if;
        A one-year old baby bit another baby?
        A two-year old toddler did not comply with a request made by you?
        A four-year old child took a toy away from another child?
7.        How can you help parents feel more comfortable about leaving their children in Child Care?
8.        What would you do if a parent came to you and complain about another staff member?
9.        Tell us about a time when you have disagreed with or been upset with something a co-work did. What did you do?
10.        Are you a “prohibited person” as defined under the Child Protection ACT 1998?
11.        Do you have any questions for us?

1.        Certificate Ⅲ or Equivalent or willingness to Undertake.
I have been enrolled to Certificate Ⅲ in Children’s Services offered by The Academy of Early Childhood Education. After getting the Certificate Ⅲ in Children’s Services, I’ll go ahead to Diploma of Child Care. This course belongs to Productivity Places Program and will commence immediately.

2.        Understanding of child development 0-6 years.
As a three and half-year-old girl’s mother, I do care the child development and enjoy doing some research work about it.
Age of Children        CHARACTERISTICS        DEVELOPMENTAL TASK
Infants
(up to 6 months)        Child is totally dependent upon parents and has no concept of self being different from other. child cries only to get needs satisfied.
Babies listen and respond to the voice and other sounds        To establish basic trust that needs will be satisfied.
Crawlers and Walkers  (6 to 18 months)        Child may show distress in leaving primary caregiver to go with any other person (including the other loving parent!)Babies say first words. They understand a few words and simple directions.        To establish an attachment bond with parents.
TODDLERS
(18Months-3Years.)        It is normal to be non-compliant, uncooperative and self-centered. Tests out personal power and separateness. Toddlers put two or more words together to make short sentences.        To develop a sense of independence, autonomy, and a sense of self as separate from parents.
PRE-SCHOOLERS (3-6 Years)        Focus is on social roles and on mimicking adult behaviors. Stage of nightmares, invented monsters, vivid fantasies, and magical thinking which creates much anxiety. They play with words and make up silly words and stories.        To learn to take initiative, control impulses, interact and play cooperatively with peers, and begin socialization.

3.        Ability to assist in the planning and provision of developmentally appropriate programs to foster and support the children’s learning.
I had been a teacher overseas for nine years. One of my responsibilities is to plan instructions to achieve desired objectives with reflect division curriculum guidelines.
At the beginning of every semester, I developed the plans of the lessons that I should give at the semester. All these lessons plans must be clear, logical and sequential and pass the assessment of my supervisor. During the preparation of my course, I selected and created the appropriated material (eg. worksheets/ newsletter), media (eg. visual aids), and equipments (eg. overhead projector).
In additional, I frequently assisted my supervisor to check or mend the syllabus, teaching programs etc. Some specific examples as following:
        Selected appropriate student objectives for lessons consistent with division guidelines.
        Integrated available technology resources compatible with students’ needs and abilities.
Making use of the experience in my previous education line, I am confident to assist in the planning and provision of developmentally appropriate programs to foster and support the children’s learning.

4.        Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal manner.
I have the ability to communicate well with people at different levels and I have a high level of literacy in written communication. I can speak clearly and discuss any topics confidently. I have achieved the Certificate Ⅳ in Spoken & Written English Job-seeking.

In my previous job, I gave 12- hour lessons each week. Explanation of the subject to the learners was the main responsibility. I was awarded as “ANNUAL EXCELLENT TEACHER” and won the assessment of “GIVING THE BEST CLASS”. My previous position always required strong interpersonal and communication skills.

As a teacher, I liaised with some government sectors, other staff, students and parents. I have developed an excellent rapport with all staff and students and have a reputation for patience, courtesy and professionalism.

5.        Ability to work as part of a team in a professional manner.
I have a wide range of experience in working as part of a team and have been an integral member of project group.
As a team member I always worked for the best interest of the organization by:
        Doing my fair share of the work.
        Staying committed to the team’s goals.
        Being willing to share my knowledge or research results and listen carefully to the ideas of others.
        Showing tolerance, flexibility and responsibility.
For the last three yeas, I took part in three research projects which respectively supported by City Government, Province Government and National Government.  As a member of the research groups I was always willing to contribute and share the knowledge and information and finalized the research proposal.
I realise how important teamwork is. I have demonstrated that I am capable of working as part of a team.

6.        Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.
My commitment to quality customer service demonstrated by:
        I am good at listening carefully the dialogists and understand the issues quickly. For example, I frequently liaised with the parents or guardians to exchange the information about the students.
        I have the ability to relate well to different people. Facing more than a hundred learners every semester, I undertook the responsibilities of instruction and reconciliation.

7.        Understanding of continuous learning principles, equal employment opportunities, occupational health and safety, and ethical practice principles.
I understand the principles of Continuous Learning. Evaluation is a useful learning and organisational development tool. Being aware of that, I always try to modify my approach as necessary. Making good use of the past experience, such as，those well-known cases or my own previous experience to acknowledge the mistakes so that I can learn from it.
I respect workers right to protection from occupational health hazards under the OH&S principles of government and understand the basic principles of the legislation in relation to the responsibilities of both workers and employers to ensure safety and health issues in the work places.
Regarding Ethical Practice principles everyone is enjoyed to work ethically and act in good faith in the performance and discharge of duties. The core values of integrity, honesty and openness, accountability, objectivity, courage and leadership must be enshrined coupled with a strong conviction that public services is always above private or personal interests. These are also my guiding principles.  Having been working in a college administrated by local government for nine years, I demonstrated these core values. These apply not only in my work but also in my private life.

8.        First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake within first three months of employment).
I am willing to undertake to study and gain First Aid Certificate.

以上1-8都是 ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA 大家如果要写一定要结合自己的经历举例说明。我本人在国内是一名大专院校的老师，就把一些学生管理经验TRANSFER到child carer上来。

这几天在幼儿园里做ORIENTATION DAY，还不是正式上班。觉得CHILDCARE 似乎不是传说中的那么累，当然也可能是还没深入到这行去。但是规矩还挺多的。比如，不能随意对孩子说NO，叫他们从某处下来时，不能说 GET DOWN， 要说 FEET ON GROUND。而BABY房也就是NURSERY呢，事就是最多的了，当然老师配置也多些，希望自己不要分配到那就好了！

谢谢大家。昨天分别在2-3岁和3-4岁的班级做，还行，觉得不象传说中那么辛苦。
结果今天在BABY房干一天，那一个累和麻烦！在同一时刻有些BABY在睡觉，你需要去CHECK一下，有些BABY在玩你要时刻盯着，有些BABY到了热牛奶的时间，有些该换尿片！晕啊！

现在在幼儿园上班的同志越来越多了， 周围好多female 朋友都在上课，或者在实习。谢谢楼主分享！ 以后中国的孩子遇到困难，就不会有语言的障碍了，有咱自己人啊

我家儿子现在1岁8个月了,打算今年底带去,我就是担心孩子上幼儿园的问题,英语都不会, 万一刚开始要上厕所都不知道怎么说可怎么办啊?
如果到时候正好在那位工作的幼儿园附近,就可以考虑送过去啊,这样万一有问题还有人能够听懂孩子的话啊,不然可要担心死了

LS的, 完全不用担心. 第一,现在确实越来越多的幼儿园有华人在了,有的可能还不止一个,去找幼儿园时可以多问问, 如果有喜欢的就报名等候.但有一点要说明了, 一定要自己到幼儿园实地看过,一定要自己心里一看这地就喜欢\放心, 不要只是因为有华人就选择. 第二,即便没有华人,小孩不懂英语,也不要"担心死了" ,  因为一个班级里至少有2位CARER, 其中一位应该是经验比较丰富的, 而且象你宝宝这个年龄段的小朋友就算是鬼佬讲话也还不清楚,所以不要担心语言. 而且小孩子的语言模仿能力是你想象不到高,你看吧, 你宝宝上幼儿园如果每星期超过2天, 一个月后一定给你丢不少单词出来,半年后就开始中英问夹杂了. 第三, 如果幼儿园真的搞不定你儿子,一定会打电话给你,她们是不敢也不愿负什么重大责任的.

最开始, 最不喜欢托儿所这边觉得累, 可现在反而最愿意在这边. 主要是发现,大一 些的孩子真是很难搞定, 跟你不熟根本不买你的账. 而BABY 呢,  逗逗就好了, 哭了话,不是想吃就是想睡了, 反而觉得不是那么麻烦. 总之 CHILDCARE这活, 不喜欢小孩子的还是不要申请做了,要不然有够烦的.

我还没读的时候找到的。现在在读。
我不确定TR是否可以，但现在我们中心有个SASUAL韩国MM现在持有的是学生签证正在申请PR。据她说她在韩国也是做CHILDCARE的，来这里读了DIPLOMA了。

没有。我面试成功时，什么CHILDCARE方面可以说是零，这也是一些朋友说我很LUCKY的原因。不过我在国内是老师来着，面试时说了些如何对待学生的例子。
