The South Australian State Government has developed a program, Immigration SA, to help skilled independent migrants (eg. Visa 126/135/136) settle in our State. The particular services provided through Immigration SA are listed on the Immigration SA brochure. For information about the program and life in South Australia, please refer to the Immigration SA website on <a target=_blank href=http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au>http://www.immigration.sa.gov.au</a> However if you choose to settle in any other State other than South Australia we are unable to provide these services to you. If you choose to live in South Australia and wish to use the on arrival services that are part of Immigration SA please contact us as soon as you make that decision so we can arrange the Meet and Greet Service and On Arrival Accommodation for you.<br>

We can organise for a Volunteer to meet you when you arrive in South Australia and take you to your accommodation as part of the Meet and Greet Service. We will need your flight/arrival details to book a Volunteer as soon as you can confirm them. If they change please tell us. An On Arrival Accommodation, application and brochure with list of furnishings are attached. Once you decide to come to South Australia please eturn the completed form to our Office as soon as possible. So that there is enough time to book the accommodation for the day you arrive we must receive the completed form at least six weeks prior to the arrival date - longer would be better. Immigration SA will inform you in writing whether OAA is available within four weeks of your arrival.<br>

I understand that the Department of Immigration and Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs has informed you that you will not be eligible for most Commonwealth Government social security benefits, including unemployment benefits, until you have lived in Australia for two years. Full details are available from any Australian Embassy or High Commission or from the Centrelink Website, <a target=_blank href=http://www.centrelink.gov.au.>http://www.centrelink.gov.au.</a> Considering this situation and that South Australia has an unemployment rate of around 5.9%, it is important for you to bring enough money or assets to support yourself until you obtain paid work. For more information about this, you should contact your visa processing office. You may wish to contact Personnel Consultants concerning work in South Australia.
