I am just a bit concerned about adding the "see result" option in the surveys.
It was created upon some user's request when the user wants to see the result before the survey is closed. I am not a big fan of that option really,
If you want to see the result, wait for the survey is closed. I agree that each survey need some time for the readers to participate and I just found that the survey about the Salary of First Job initiated more than 3 months ago is still not closed. So this is a question of closing the survey when enough information is collected, not creating a shortcut. In my opinion, a week or 2 is quite enough for most of the topics.
The other problem of that option is that people voted 'see result' actually does not contribute anything to the survey. I have expressed my opinion in another survey about Whether Life is Happier in Aus or in China. Before the "see result" option was added on to the survey, althought the votes increased slowly, each one counts to an opinion. Since the "see result' option was added, the number of votes soared, but most of them are to see result. Can the surveyor get anything out from that?
What's more, people who voted 'see results' are sharing the same priviledge as the other voters who did make the contribution to the survey, i.e one-on-one result (eg. JACK voted option A, ASTINA voted option B). That's not the serious voter's intention to let others know their option. It is only the final results that should matter.
You may argue that if people really wants to see the result, they can just create a majia and vote rubbish. Well, then this is a question of mutual respect. The surveyor created the survey (in fact, anyone looking for an answer here raised their questions) on good will, on the trust he/she has on all of the FreeOz users. So let's not detroy the trust by ourselves.
