The only possibility is to apply J, it may take several months. It is only valid for employee in the international company to transfer internally. Otherwise, your US employer who provides you the invitation to work must be idiot.
Think about it, it is really crazy to spend so much time and go through so much documentation for work visa in order to work in USA for just one week. No visa officer will believe it. very likly, you will be denied.
you may apply for B visa to work in US in the name of training or meeting, which is legal. In this case, your US employer should not pay you.
