This bug with Internet Explorer on Microsoft is very very bad. The US and Australian governments, Internet security divisions, both issued immediate STOP orders to using IE late yesterday!!! This effects both IE6 and IE7, the first is almost guaranteed to be installed on all Windows Servers of customers.
You need to check out the Microsoft site, ready carefully through the Out-Of-Band announcement on the patches. There are several patches, each unique to the IE version and the OS version. You must get it right to install.
Any server that has any web access must be patched.
