标题: Do you feel i am on top of you?
the other day one of my workmates said this to me, "do you feel i am on top of you?" does it mean " do i give pressure on you?" that is how i take it. can anyone give me a better interpretation?

再问一下你的workmate好了，既然不是你的顶头上司，按理说解释为给你pressure也不太讲的通啊

longman dictionary上面有个解释是

on top of somebody： if something dangerous or threatening is on top of you, it is very near you:
The truck was almost on top of us.

thanks, bird. it seems what i thought is not wrong. just don't know how to answer. at that moment, i just said "yes". then he replied "sorry" and left at once...

i am a greenhand in the company, everyone can train me. so, that is not a surprising question from workmates...

mates, don't think too much... try to understand english in a metaphor way...

Come on, go easy on you! If that guy is your peer, find time to get him a cup of coffee and clear the misunderstanding. If he is your boss, go straight to the point that you didn't understand what he meant. But you never let it go and took you several days to find the answer. If it is a She, congratulations mate...
