标题: 457工作签证老婆没有收入是不是可以claim dependent spouse tax offset?
如题，我和老婆都是457工作签证，没有拿政府任何福利。我老婆没有收入，这种情况下我是不是可以claim dependent spouse tax offset?

即使没有任何centrelink福利,只有两种例外情况继续享有1971年7月1日后出生配偶退税:
1. 居住在税务定义的偏远地区或为澳大利亚(或联合国)在海外服兵役.
2. 配偶残疾或照顾残疾人等.

You don't have LAFHA?

You can apply for LAFHA, however, ATO just changes its policy; 457 is only eligible till september.

Your expenses on aaccommodation and food are exempted from tax. For example, food allowance for two adults is $349 per week. You can save lot of tax on about $40k of your income. Ask your HR; ask an accountant who really know about 457 visa and act quick.
