Sept 26-29 2011 Bushwalking near Cairns of QLD (updated)

It is the first time to visit Cairns of Queensland

It would be great experience to hike nearby other than underwater.

I just found one fair track at Wooroonooran National Park, 45 KM away from Cairns.

Is anyone interesting in join?

I would also very appreciate if anyone provide information on the other tracks nearby.

Today September 26 2011 is real hard day for hiking, but it is quite enjoyable.

对难度而言，Mt Bartle Frere (2 days track with a sustained climb of 1500 meters to the summit of Queenland's highest mountain) 可以和中国的峨眉山相比。52公里的峨眉山（with about 3000 meters ascent) 仅用了我12个小时。

Mt Bartle Frere only way is only 7.5 km, but took me 4hours 20 mins to the summit, and took me another 3hours 10 mins back to the starting point.

向上爬我必须用手，看不到尽头，好多地方的坡度超过75度。向下时必须用屁股来挪动身体才能下山。这次爬山我喝了4升水再加一瓶德国啤酒。负重大约15公斤的daypack爬这个山不是一个轻松活.
