最近准备给manager 请下婚假,写了封邮件心里没底,没敢发出去,麻烦高手帮我看看有没有什么问题,谢谢Tommy ,hi
I am glad to inform you that I planned tobe married at a registry in this year. I have asked Hr about it and she told me that stuff in Shenzhen office are entitled for a 13 days marriage leave, including holiddays and weekends.I hope i can register on 8th Auguest of this year, which is a very special day. Hence i would like to request that you grant me a marriage leave around that day if not conflit with our work scheme.
Thank you very much for your consideration of my request.
Respectfully yours,

老板是老外还是中国人?
要求正式还是随意? August... not Auguest...
Why don't you go talk to you manager about it but write him an email? I think such a matter is better communicated through talking or, if not personally located close to you, through a phone call.
Besides, I suggest a less direct tone in the email. For example, instead of "I hope i can register on 8th Auguest of this year, which is a very special day. Hence i would like to request that you grant me a marriage leave around that day if not conflit with our work scheme", you may write: the 8th August is a special day for us. If our work scheme allows, may I request being granted a wedding vacation of 13 days starting on that day?
After all, as mentioned by the upstairs, it's up to you to decide what style you should stay. Good luck! And Congratulations! 原帖由 ritaclin 于 7-7-2008 15:00 发表 http://www.freeoz.org/forum/images/common/back.gif

Thanks for your reply.
My manager is in Hongkong office, we usually write in English, so i think a formal style will be better. Do you have any comment ? 原帖由 127 于 7-7-2008 15:30 发表 http://www.freeoz.org/forum/images/common/back.gif

I want to talk to my manager too, but he is always staying in Hongkong office, i have not saw him for over 1 month. And he does not understand mandarin very well. So, sadly I have no choice, but try my poor English:(.
Thanks for your suggestion, that is the precisely style i want. strongly agree with 127:D
