Nissan is generously equipped with 18-inch alloys, 7-inch colour media screen, 6-speaker stereo with single-disc, USB connectivity and 2GB of music storage, Bluetooth, cruise control, tri-zone airconditioning, keyless entry and ignition, cloth trim, reversing camera and rear parking sensors all standard.
Mazda
Standard gear includes tri-zone aircon, Bluetooth, cruise control, cloth trim, 6-speaker stereo with single-disc and USB connectivity and reversing camera. But it can’t match the Pathfinder and misses out on the music storage, keyless entry and ignition and parking sensors.

Starting with a clean sheet has allowed Nissan to create a very spacious interior. The second row seats slide so you can trade-off space with the third row, which ultimately means a car capable of carrying seven in comfort. The second row also has a function that allows you to fit a baby seat but still access the third row without moving the seat or climb over the baby seat tether. Nissan has also created plenty of small item storage space including 10 cup holders and six bottle holders.
Mazda
Not as spacious as the Pathfinder, particularly in the third row. Design has started to look dated too, both compared to the Nissan and newer Mazdas, but is still well-laid out. There is good small item storage in the CX-9, which makes it family friendly. There is noticeably less boot space in the Mazda though, with both the third row seats up and down.

Down on both power and torque compared to the CX-9 but doesn’t feel sluggish. There’s strong pulling power even with a family on board. The downside is the engine is thirsty, it averaged in the mid teens during our time with it, but crucially it is less than the CX-9. The CVT is one of the better examples we’ve experienced.
Mazda
Diesels may offer better fuel economy but this big V6 has plenty of punch to carry seven occupants. But the fuel use is worse both on paper and in our experience on test. The six-speed auto is a smoother operator than the Nissan’s CVT.

How it drives
Nissan
No longer based on the same underpinnings as the Navara ute, the Pathfinder is more at home on-road rather than off-road. The ride is soft, so there is some noticeable body lean in corners, but it does a good job of soaking up bumps. The steering is nice and light but lacks feel and feedback. Driving only the front wheels with such a powerful engine means there is some torque steer under hard acceleration.
Mazda
Ride is firmer than the Pathfinder, so it has less lean in the corners but can crash over larger bumps. The steering is better being nicely weighted but with more feel and feedback. Also suffers from torque steer at times.

Practicality
Nissan
Still has some pretensions of being an off-roader, despite being two-wheel drive. Nissan claims an approach angle of 14.7 degrees, departure angle of 22.3 degrees and ground clearance of 165mm. Boasts a greater (braked) towing capacity of 2700kg.

Doesn’t pretend to be an off-roader. But lower towing capacity (2000kg braked) means the CX-9 won’t be as appealing to those who have a watercraft or caravan to take along.

Nissan
As an all-new model it should have taken the win - and it does so in dominant fashion. The new Pathfinder is an ideal family SUV for those who need to carry five or more on a regular basis. The only major downside is its below par fuel economy.
Mazda
Despite the mild facelift last year the CX-9 is showing its age. Thirsty and lacking value compared to its rivals it’s only saving grace is its ‘zoom-zoom’ driving dynamics.

kluger和CX-9算crossover。

哦,澳洲为什么不卖雪佛兰那种总统车队超大的suv,第三排也很宽敞,翻起后后备箱还有很大空间 这么大的车,2驱够么。。。 新pathfinder已经不是ute平台的offroader了 因为现实生活中,真正需要正统四驱的顾客不多,车厂当然想适合大多顾客需求。
不意外!连 pajero 都变成一体式底盘,独立悬吊了------
ute 平台的成本又高,如果要ute平台 isuzu 的 d-max 有七座上市,(只卖40500起)
ISUZU MU-X 3.0升柴油发动机 分时四驱 UTE 底盘
其实HILUX 也有七座,叫做 FRONTIER,澳洲不卖是因为怕和PRADO产品價格太過接近(大概差1-2W)而自家打自家商品
MITSUBISHI 的 TRITON 七座就是 CHALLENGER
Pajero都变承载式车身了?3p以后名存实亡啦!:yct_28 人家买七座车在乎的是座位多而不是性能。
如果要7座,没offroad需求,应该选 tarago 或 odyssey

pajero好像2000年前后就改承载式平台了吧。不过还会有ute平台的suv的,ford将在2015上市的everest基于ranger平台 雪佛兰suburban,5米7

不越野的话够,:D 所以suv之外出了个新名词crossover,低成本高车身 always onroad。
