lay-buy 也有分期付款的意思吧,不清楚是先拿货物还是付清后才交货?

Lay-by won't allow you to have something until you pay it off.

The whole idea behind this is that your dream would come true if you put efforts into it, even though it won't be realized straight away.

As long as you make the first payment on it, you take the first step to claim it as your property. Whoever set the eyes on it next will lose their privilege to have it no matter how much affordability they might have.

The other way to put it is that the luxurious stuff won't discriminate anyone who loves it, as long as you take a decent approach to it. In this case, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE (先到者先受到接待) takes its rule well.

Heehee, being rich doesn't mean you can get anything you want, you need to come at right time and right place.

Everybody will be treated equally and with respect!

今天的阳光又特别美!祝你周末愉快。

冬天也可以是温暖的,因为我从未停过有梦想。

That's why those who have beautiful dreams would always find more strength and resilience to get up and go than those who don't.

1. When I explained to a lady that I was about to do the cannula for her and it was gonna hurt. She said to me: I knew what to expect, please go for it, I am not a sook (胆小鬼).

After I was done, she told me: Can you please shut the door for me, I was so tired from the long-distance transfer that I just wanted to take a little snooze (打个小盹儿).

2. One of my colleagues complained about a verbal abuse he was inflicted from a ward support, which got him very upset and offended. He would do an incident report to bring it up to the administration's attention.

He said that he was suffered from the out-of-blue aggression (突然性的/突发的进攻性的脾气) from that staff, who seemed always offensive to others when the workload span out of control (超出能控制的范畴). He was taking this up to the upper level, in a bid that someone from the top would be able to put an end to his destructive working behaviour.

While my colleague, who was well-known for his strong personality and poor tolerance, was talking about this incident, I couldn't help thinking about an expression I brought up before: Barked at the wrong tree (惹着硬茬了), oh, I wonder how you could get away with it this time.

This joke is about the huge difference between Chinese and western dating culture.

A Chinese boy and his girlfriend were doing really well in their relationship, down the track, he started dreaming about his future with this girl, taking her as The One for him.

One day, he took her somewhere in his car for picnic, on the way over, the traffic was flowing quite well until they were about to get to the picnic area, they started coming across many sets of red lights in a row (遭遇一连串的红灯).

As a very well raised boy, he knew better than (很懂道理而不会) run through any red lights. After he kept stopping before so many red lights, his girlfriend finally lost her patience and snapped at him (对他大为光火): You are not even brave enough to run through the red lights, I seriously doubt what else you could possibly achieve in your life. Sorry, what I am looking for is a real MAN.

Then, she broke up with him!

After being left in darkness and depression from being dumped due to his lack of masculinity (男子汉气概), he came to a western country, hoping that he could find his real love.

Finally, he fell in love with a blonde and both were happy with where their relationship were taking them to. However, one day, his blonde girlfriend broke up with him just in the car after he manly (很男人地) ran through a set of red lights.

He remembered being dumped in the first relationship due to his "coward act"--not run through the red lights. He reckoned he should man up (表现出男人气概) this time and show his blonde how much a MAN he was. So, he didn't hesitate to run through a set of red lights.

The blonde said to him: You just scared the hell out of me by doing that! You even dared to run through the red lights, I wondered what other criminal conducts you wouldn't dare to commit.

Dear friends, please don't take it as an offense, it's just a joke!

很有代表意义的笑话. 我更倾向于西方女孩的观点.
不过笑话毕竟是笑话,真正相爱的人不会因为这样的事情而分开,他做错了,可以沟通.

Howdy guys! How's your day been?

Not sure why that over these two days, I take up a fever (狂热的喜爱) over the expression "Out of blue" and find it quite user-friendly. Listen to this please:

About this admission, I'm sorry to tell you that nothing much has been done yet, because it's an out-of-blue admission. Then, I have been forgiven.

Listen to Adele: I don't want to turn up out of blue, uninvited (未经邀请而突然造访).

Sorry, I couldn't come up with any solutions just yet, because this issue was brought to my attention out of blue, unexpected.

In order to train Harvey to be patient, we always prevent him from going for the food until we finish counting to 10. Over these days, he gets so used to it and even gets himself ready to charge at his food container.

One time, as soon as I put out his food, my phone rang. I picked up my phone straight away and was dragged into a long conversation.

While I was strolling around the living room, Harvey was hovering around constantly until I realized that I was so in a rush to answer the phone that I forgot to count.

What a well-mannered boy he just turns into! So proud!

A gentleman was upset about his heart attack at young age. When we talked about the possibility that his smoking might have played one of key roles in heart attack, he said:

I already made a decision to quit cold turkey (全部戒断), I learned my lesson the hard way (为这个教训付出的代价很大). But to put things into perspective (一分为二地看问题/从长远来看), I consider it a wake-up call (敲了个警钟) for me.

On my home today, a road-working truck was ahead of me on the left lane. On the back of it, there was a metal frame with two arms sticking up from it.

What's special about it was that on the two points of the arms, there were two green gloves covering them, all other fingers were down, only two middle fingers pointed upwards from the two sticks.

I kept thinking to myself, was that driver doing it deliberately to make it funny or show his anger of some sort? Was it just a coincidence?

I was so concentrating on this truck that I didn't realize that I was tailgating (跟前面的车追得太近,以致于未留下足够的距离刹车) the car in front of me. Until I saw the red lights from that car staring at me, I had to brake the hardest, all the way down to narrowly escape a head-tail collision.

After I came out of my panic, I started feeling proud of myself: Hey, I am not too old just yet for an experienced driver! Lol
