Guide to ANZAC day in WA

THE annual dawn service will be held in the State War Memorial precinct, Kings Park. The Spirit of Anzac archival footage screens at 4.15am. The service begins at 6am.

A free shuttle will operate from the Vietnam Memorial Pavilion at Western Power Parkland on May Drive from 4.45am to 5.45am, returning at the conclusion of the Service.

A gunfire breakfast will take place in Stirling Gardens, from 7am to 9am.

The annual Anzac Day march, from Langley Park to The Esplanade, starts at 9.15am. The main service will commence at 11am in the Esplanade Reserve.

COCKBURN
The dawn service commences at 5.55am at Memorial Hall, corner of Carrington St and Rockingham Rd, Hamilton Hill. A gunfire breakfast will follow at the RSL club, 73 Frederick St, Hamilton Hill. The march will take place at 10am from the RSL club.

FREMANTLE
The Fremantle memorial dawn service starts at 5.30am, at Monument Hill. A special Fremantle Line ANZAC Day train shuttle will depart Perth Station at 4.17am to arrive at Fremantle Station at 4.45am, and a shuttle bus service to Monument Hill will depart Fremantle Station at 4.50am.

The ANZAC parade starts at 10.15am at the Fremantle Esplanade Reserve and returning for the closing service followed by the ANZAC Day concert.

The Sir Hughie Edwards ANZAC Day Derby between South Fremantle and East Fremantle Football Clubs kicks off at 1.30pm at the East Fremantle Oval. Anyone wearing military uniform or medals will be permitted free entry into the game.

The ANZAC day Commemorative Exhibition will be running at the Fremantle Town Hall Fremantle between 8am and 3pm and entry is free. A free morning tea will be available outside the Fremantle Town Hall between 9am and 2pm.

JOONDALUP
The dawn service starts at 5.45am at Central Park on Grande Boulevard in Joondalup. Light refreshments will be served after the ceremony.

MANDURAH
The dawn service will commence at 6am at the Mandurah war memorial on the foreshore.

The parade starts at 10.30 on Pinjarra Rd which will finish at the Mandurah war memorial where the main service will start at 11am. Refreshments will be available after this service at the RSL hall, 22 Third Ave, Mandurah.

MUNDARING
The dawn service starts at 6am at Blackboy Hill, Greenmount.

The parade will take place at 2pm near the Bendigo Bank on Mount St and will finish at Memorial Gardens where a service will take place at 3pm.

If there is heavy rain on the day, the service will be transferred to the Mundaring Hall. Refreshments will be provided after the service.

STIRLING
The Osborne Park march starts at 6.45am from the corner of Hamilton Street and Main Street. The service starts at 7am in the RSL Hall corner of Cape and Main Sts.

The North Beach dawn service starts at 5.45am at Charles Riley Reserve, Kitchener Rd.

WANNEROO
The Yanchep dawn service starts at 6am beginning with tea and coffee at 5.30am at Yanchep Sports Club, followed by a gunfire breakfast at 6.30am.

The parade starts at 11am in Yanchep National Park.

The Wanneroo parade starts at 7am from the Aquamotion carpark in Civic Dr.

ALBANY
The dawn service starts at 5.30am at the Desert Mounted Corps Memorial on Mt Clarence.

The parade begins at 10am from the RSL club at 14 Stirling Tce, to ANZAC Peace Park where the main service will take place at 10.30am.

BUNBURY
The dawn service starts at 6am at the war memorial in ANZAC Park in Stirling St.

The parade will commence at 10.30am from Blair St and the main service will follow at Graham Bricknell Memorial Music Shell.

BUSSELTON
The dawn service starts at 6am at the Busselton war memorial followed by a gunfire breakfast at the RSL hall, Rosemary Drive, Busselton. The parade starts at 9.00am at the corner of Queen St and Marine Tce and finishes at the Busselton war memorial where the main service will take place. There will be a RAAF flyover after the service as well as a morning tea and lunch held at the RSL club.

GERALDTON
The dawn service starts at 6am, followed by a gunfire breakfast at Birdwood House on the corner of Chapman Rd and Forrest St.

The march will take place at 11am along Foreshore drive and will lead into the main memorial starting at 11.30am at Birdwood House.

KALGOORLIE
The dawn march starts at 6am at the corner of Wilson & Dugan Sts and the dawn service will follow at 6.05am at Kalgoorlie War Memorial. A free gunshot breakfast will take place after the service at Kalgoorlie Country Club on Egan St.

The main parade starts at 10.45am at the front of the old Kalgoorlie post office and the service starts at 11.30am at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall on the corner of Wilson & Hannan St. Entertainment and a two-up will take place at Kalgoorlie Country Club on Egan St at 1pm.


OTHER INFORMATION

CBD PARKING
All City of Perth open air car parks will be open on ANZAC Day. Fees will not apply at

the following car parks between 6am-1pm: Terrace Rd, Point Fraser, Plain St,

Queens Gardens and Fire Station. Thereafter standard car park fees will apply.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Veterans, serving and returned service personnel wearing service uniforms, campaign ribbons or medals can travel free on Transperth services on ANZAC Day.

Transperth is running special Anzac Day services to get people to and from the dawn ceremony in Kings Park.

Trains leave Mandurah (at 4.15am), Fremantle (4.50am), Armadale (4.24am), Clarkson (4.38am) and Midland (4.40am), arriving by 5.18am at Perth and Perth Underground.

A free shuttle bus (620) will connect with trains arriving at Perth and Perth Underground stations, operating to Kings Park between 5.05am and 5.30am from the following locations:

Armadale/Thornlie, Fremantle and Midland Lines: Shuttle services depart from Red CAT stop 30 outside the Wellington Street Bus Station

Joondalup and Mandurah Lines: Shuttle services depart from Stand W2 on William St, between Murray Street and Hay Street.

Another free shuttle (621) will run every five minutes (except during the Dawn Service) between the Vietnam Memorial and the State War Memorial from 4.45am until the end of the main service around 7.30am.

Other than these special services, the Transperth system will operate on a normal Sunday-public holiday timetable.  There will be extra capacity on the trains to cater for people going to the Anzac Day March in the city, but patrons planning to use buses should check their timetables, as some bus routes have limited morning services on public holidays.

For those attending the Fremantle Memorial Dawn Service, a special Fremantle Line train will leave Perth Station at 4.17am, arriving in Fremantle at 4.45am.  A shuttle bus for Monument Hill leaves Fremantle Station at 4.50am.
Transperth bus and train services will run on a normal Sunday schedule on ANZAC Day.
Extra bus and train services will run throughout the morning.

SHOPPING HOURS
All major shopping centres will be closed on Sunday, April 25. Shops within the Perth and Fremantle tourist precincts are permitted to trade on the Monday public holiday.

ROAD CLOSURES

The following road closures will be implemented in the Fremantle CBD from 9am to around noon:

Market St (from Cantonment St to Collie St)

High St (from Market St to Pakenham St)

South Tce (from Market St to Essex St)

Essex St (from South Tce to Marine Tce)

Pakenham St (from High St to Collie St)

Marine Tce (from Norfolk St to Collie St)

Bannister St (from Pakenham St to Market St)

Nairn St (from Pakenham St to Market St)

Collie St (from Marine Tce to South Tce)

Essex St (from Marine Tce to South Tce)

Norfolk Lane (from Essex St to Norfolk St)

Essex Lane (from Collie St to Essex St)

去年去了dawn service,感觉很好,就是要起很早,搞得游行都没精力看,回家补觉去了

前两天就有很多制服哥哥在city化缘了,真是帅啊,今年要去看游行!
