Stabbed repeatedly after he intervened

Two teenagers have been arrested over the repeated stabbing of a man during a fight in a western Sydney unit, with one boy charged with attempted murder.
The 25-year-old man was stabbed when he intervened after five men forced their way into his female friend's Merrylands West unit last Thursday night.
Police said the man suffered wounds to the torso and left leg. He underwent emergency surgery in Westmead Hospital and is in a stable condition.
Police arrested a 16-year-old boy at a home in Greystanes yesterday, while a 17-year-old was taken into custody after police attended a home in Merrylands.
The 17-year-old has been charged with attempted murder, intent to commit grievous bodily harm, and special aggravated enter dwelling.

Both will appear in Parramatta Children's Court today.
Yesterday's arrests follow those of two 18-year-old youths, one at the weekend and the other last Friday. |
