Tax residency is really the key here, will you be in Australia for 2 years continuously? or you have to constantly go back for work purpose. Your living arrangement and your other Australian investment are also important on determining this issue. The information you have given so far, does me tell me that you are "肯定是税务意义上的居民".
Let's assume that you are Australian resident for tax purpose and you "work in" Australia. in that case, regardless of which country you sign the contract with, your income will be taxed here in Australia, The this tax will include the medicare levy, the only difference is if you work for Australian company, the medicare levy is withheld progressively, but ultimately it you pay the same tax in terms of medicare levy.
Now, secondly, "superannuations". let's say the chinese company pay the superannuation compoent to you rather then to the superfund. This money will be taxed at year end too, and it will based on your overall income level (in other words, it could be taxed as high as 45%). Whereas, if it goes into a superfund, it gets taxed at 15%.
Having said all the above, any issue inrelation to foreign income and residency is often very complex and can not be cover in one or two paragraphs. You should consult with an experienced accountant face to face before signing the contract. |
