1. The department acknowledges the receipt of applications but not the
receipt of subsequent correspondence.
Documents which are scanned and emailed to us are acknowledged by auto
response. No further manual confirmation will be provided for these
documents.
Your case officer will contact you if they require any additional
information.
Please Note - providing scanned copies of documents can reduce postal and
administrative delays in receiving and processing information. You should
be aware that a case-officer may request original documents during the
processing of an application if there is a need for these documents.
For online lodged applications – your online check list will not
automatically update. It will only be updated when your application is
allocated to and assessed by your case officer
Any correspondence sent to DIAC should ONLY BE SENT IN ONCE. Please
ensure it includes a cover sheet stating your full name, date of birth,
passport number, and either your file reference number or Transaction
Record Number or Request ID.
2. Your file is currently with your case officer for further processing.
If your case officer requires any additional documentation/information to
assist in the processing of your visa application they will contact you.
